Earlier today at IFA 2018, Huawei announced its new flagship device Honor Magic 2 with latest HiSilicon Chipset Kirin 980 Soc. The HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC will be the world’s first processor to be built on the 7nm FinFET node. Huawei claims the Kirin 980 SoC will be the most powerful and intelligent processor ever on smartphones.
The HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC also comes with the Mali-G76 GPU which gives better performance (40%) and power efficiency (20%). The processor consists of 6.9 billion transitions and its uses the new Cortex-A76 cores.

The Kirin 980 is the world’s first processor to feature dual Neural Network Processing Units (NPUs). With the AI features, it gives better image recognition, object recognition, image segmentation, intelligent translation. It’s also the first to support 2133MHz LPDDR4X memory.

Finally, it supports the LTE Cat.21 which gives downlink at 1.4 Gbps and raise up to 1.7 Gbps. This is pretty cool isn’t?
Also, the Huawei announced about their 2 news device which gonna feature the new Kirin chipsets. They gonna launch the device in October 16th with tons of features. We can expect it to be the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
