For those of you who like the HTC Evo 4G and HTC Droid Incredible’s keyboard, you can now install it on your Droid X.
First, download AndroZip from Market, which you will need to download a zip file.
Second, download this zip file, unzip, and open up HTC_IME_Clicker.apk. Install and Press Done.
If you haven’t installed any 3rd party apps before it will ask you to check “Unknown sources” so check that.
Next, also open up HTC_IME_themed_by_gIMpST.a

The Droid X has not been rooted yet (so that makes us sad) but we are going to be featuring other cool stuff you can do on your Droid X in the meanwhile.

I’ve been checking XDA Developers forum everyday where they have the latest rooting developments on Droid X. It looks like the problem right now is in getting Droid X in the hands of the right people, experienced Android developers/hackers.

By now everyone knows the Droid X has an encrypted bootloader that is going to take a serious effort by the Android Developers to crack so
A lot of people have been e-mailing how to activate/access the Swype keyboard on the Droid X as it doesn’t come with it activated.
However, the Swype keyboard is actually there, you just need to make sure “Swype” is checked under Settings->Language & Keyboard->Input Method.

The bottom line?
I really love my HTC Evo 4G but I really love Droid X.
Again, I think it boils down to whether you like Sprint or Verizon and how well of a reception you get where you live.
Both Sprint and Verizon are on same type of CDMA-based
