Droid X2 Launching May 26th!

droidx2-2

Droid X2 is almost here, it will be launching in exact form factor as the original Droid X but with major hardware upgrades with Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 26% more pixels, and a better back-facing 8MP camera 44% faster.

Also the Droid X2 will allow you to do 1080P mirroring to your HDTV, which will be pretty cool.

UPDATE: There’s rumors that the Droid X2 would come with Verizon’s new 4G LTE but there’s still no 100% confirmation so we will have to wait and see, that would be a big reason for upgrading.

It should be available at Verizon Wirel

No Official Upgrade for Leaked 2.2 Droid X ROM?

Motorola is reporting on their support forums that there’s no official upgrade path available for leaked 2.2 Droid X ROM.

No worries though, if you’ve saved your original 2.1 ROM, you can always restore it, upgrade to the official Droid X 2.2, and should be back in no time.

WARNING: Do NOT load the leaked 2.2 upgrade that has been floating around on the Internets. There is currently no upgrade path from that load to the official 2.2 load that will be released by early September. Unless you have some plan to flash your phone back to the current official load, you

Droid X Froyo Android 2.2 Update Coming Soon?

Motorola has just updated their Android OS upgrade page (Yes, they “updated” the “update” page!) with the same news that official Froyo Android 2.2 will be coming to Droid X at the end of this summer.

Wait, summer is almost over, we’ve officially got only 7 more days of the-weirdest-summer-of-decade.  (By the way here in San Francisco, summer has been lost all summer with too many cold days until yesterday when skies cleared up, something is UP with this weird weather, I swear!)

Anyways, this simply means that Droid X Froyo official update is goi

Droid 2 Vs Droid X

I will have further updates on this topic, Droid 2 versus Droid X but let me give you an insight since I have gotten hands on with the Droid 2 since yesterday.

First of all, the Droid 2 doesn’t seem like its smaller than the Droid X because of its bulkiness.   Droid X actually feels lighter in my hands and also it’s thinner, making it for easier fit in my jean pockets.

Of course, some people might prefer the width of Droid 2 versus the tallness of the Droid X but for me, Droid X just feels better in my pockets.

The QWERTY keyboard is definitely the number o

Droid 2 Hands-on Review!

droid-2-review-1

Yup, I got myself a new Droid 2, it’s exactly like Droid X with Froyo, without the HDMI and 4.3-inch screen, and with a QWERTY keyboard.   I think for business users who have trouble with touchscreen devices, Droid 2 could be a good choice.

Also, there’s many apps out there for developers (like me) who need a physical keyboard at times.

Anyways, I’ve written up my initial thoughts on the new Motorola Droid 2 at Zedomax.com.

Droid 2 Launching Tomorrow to Follow Droid X Footsteps!

droid-2

It has certainly been an exciting launch for Droid X yet Verizon will be launching even another phone, this time the Droid 2, which will come with a full QWERTY keyboard, 3.7-inch screen, and pretty much all the same as Droid X except with Android 2.2 Froyo. (Froyo coming later for Droid X.)

I think Droid 2 could be awfully popular too for original Droid users who need an upgrade really bad and perhaps they still want a physical QWERTY keyboard and Droid 2 certainly proves to be a good candidate f
