How to Change “This Phone Belongs to…” on the Droid X!

For those of you who want to change “This Phone Belongs to…” screen on the Droid X, here’s how to do it:

Open the launch menu and go to the Antivirus app. At the apps home screen press the menu touch button.

Then go Settings->Remote Management->Lost Message (you have to enable the lost message 1st though)> Text Before

Then enter your name.

Droid Incredible vs. Droid X!

Droid X Froyo Android 2.2 Update – Early September!

Motorola has made an official statement on their forums that Droid X Froyo Android 2.2 update will be coming early September.

What can you expect with the Droid X Froyo update?

Your Droid X will run even faster, like 3-7 times faster and it will be really like putting a whole new software. (Well, actually it IS a new software!)

Compared to other smartphones, a lot of people have been pointing out that Android OS is “fragmented” but then again, you do get the advantage of getting major software updates and make your phone 3-7 times faster, don’t you?

Droid X Froyo Demo!

Apparently, someone has managed to get a Froyo Android 2.2 running on their Droid X. This should be readily available soon for anyone who’s willing to root their Droid X and install custom ROMs.

Of course, I advise you to wait until Motorola rolls out official Froyo for everyone, which will be coming soon perhaps in 2-3 weeks.
